Blanche Hates The Night by Sibylle Delacroix

Really, who doesn't?

Every kid wants to sing and play and jump up in the air, and when the dreaded nightfall comes, it's time to go to sleep. That's no fun!

But, Blanche is a creative girl. So, she's not going to let a little darkness hamper her fun. Who says that just because everything is gray, you are not supposed to play?

So she's out to enjoy the dark. She puts on a concert. She sings a lullaby to her little baby birdie and vows to watch over it all night long (after all, she's not going to be sleeping herself).

When her parents yell at her to go back to bed! "Hop to it!" they say.

But, little mischievous Blanche has another idea. She decides that she can surely "hop" to it.

An cute book published by Owl Kids.  Sibylle Delacroix has done a fabulous job with Blanche Hates The Night, igniting a creative spark for the not-so-fun dark.

She is also the author of one of my other favourite children's books, Prickly Jenny
