The ABCs of Yoga for Kids by Teresa Power

A book about yoga? To the skeptical, this may seem like the perfect time to yawn. After all, how can a book about yoga be so much fun?
Well, Teresa Anne Power makes it fun. Author of The ABCs of Yoga for Kids, Teresa brings her expertise in teaching yoga to your home.

Her kid-friendly book features beautiful poetic language to describe every pose from A to Z. The delightful rhyming vignettes, are so much fun to read along to your young ones, and will help you get into the fit frame of mind. Teaching kids early about good health and fitness will set them on the right road for a life well lived.

You can read and follow along with your little one. Don’t be surprised with constant fits of giggles as they listen to you read and attempt to copy the flexible poses for themselves.

The ABCs of Yoga for Kids also had something to teach the amateur yoga enthusiast in me… a thing or two about form that I just had not quite mastered in yoga class.

Whether it’s doing the “Do Nothing” Pose which helps calm your mind and keeps you from getting into a bind, or standing tall and bending one leg to be a flamingo, The ABCs of Yoga for Kids will be a fun bonding experience with your little ones.

Cute illustrations are appealing to the young ones, as they try to be an Alligator resting on their belly or an Airplane heading for the sky.

Imaginative, fun, and a great way to get young ones moving and enjoying a healthy workout. Perhaps The ABCs of Yoga for Kids is the perfect way to keep those rug rats away from the TV for a little while.
